3. Is there any Cost/ Fee for this service?

At Pro Contract Jobs, we understand your bespoke requirements and try our best to cater it with perfection. Pro Contract Jobs is a free contract job portal where job seekers can find the exact match for their requirements. There is no cost associated with the user registration or to apply any number of contract jobs.

4. How can I withdraw or change my application?

It is not possible to change your application when it is sent to a recruiter. When the application was made through our website, your CV and your Cover Letter will be sent straight to the recruiter. Please note that we have no control in selection process.  

5. How can I log in if I forgot my password?

Please check that the password reminder email is not redirected to your spam folder as we email the password reminder to you when you are already registered with us. You can change the password under the Sign in Tab.

6. How to perform the best searches?

For the best searches, you can visit our search page.This page offers you over 30000 contract jobs daily. You can either browse the website or run a custom search. You can also sort jobs alphabetically, by relevance by most recent jobs.

If you are a registered contract job seeker, you need to follow the below steps to perform the best searches:
Step 1: Log into your profile using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Select the ‘Search Jobs’ tab.
Step 3: You can filter your searches by choosing the right details under the required category, by selecting the ‘Browse’ tab.

7. How does the Job Basket work?

Job Basket is just like your shopping kit where you can save all the jobs that you consider relevant to the skills you hold and later, you can apply for the shortlisted jobs already saved in your job basket. Also, you can either apply selectively or choose the ‘Apply to all’ option available on the page.

To access the Job Basket, you need to follow the below steps:
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Select the ‘Search Jobs’ tab.
Step 3: You can filter your searches by choosing right details under the required category by selecting the ‘Browse’ tab.
Or
Select the ‘Search’ tab to run a customised search.
Step 4: The search results will show numerous job listings matching to your search details. You can save any job to your Job basket by clicking the Basket sign of the job box.

Once saved, the icon will appear green in color for the particular job thread.

8. How does the email alerts work?

Pro Contract Jobs email alerts offer you the latest updates in contract jobs. Upon registration, you will receive daily email alerts as soon as a matching contract to your skills is available on the website.

Also, whenever you apply for a contract job, you will receive email alerts confirming the successful application of your job. A similar email is also sent to the agency/ employer with your application and other details.

9. How to filter my searches?

We offer in depth search functorialities from Keywords to various other attributes. To make your search more precise, we offer you an opportunity to filter the results.  

You can filter your searches by choosing the right details under the required category, by selecting the ‘Browse’ tab.

To run a most optimised search, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Select the ‘Search Jobs’ tab.
Step 3: You can filter your searches by choosing the right details under the required category by selecting the ‘Browse’ tab.
Or
Select the ‘Search’ tab to run a customized search.

According to the tab that you select, specify search filters like keywords, job type, skills, contact value, etc. and then click the ‘Search’ button. You will see a list of the jobs related to the specified filters.

10. How to save my preferred jobs?

You can save lot of time by saving your preferred contract jobs relevant to your skills and experiences. As soon as you find a relevant job, click the ‘Basket icon’ on the right to save the job in your Job Basket.

Once saved, the icon will appear green in color for the particular job thread.

11. How to save multiple CV and cover letters?

While completing your profile details, you will have to provide us with your updated CVs and Cover Letters. We segregate CVs in two categories: ‘Main CV’ and ‘Additional CV’. You can only save one ‘Main CV’, but ‘Additional CV’ can be added to maximum 7.

7 x Additional CVs

To save multiple CVs and Cover Letters, you must follow the below steps:
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email ID & password.
Step 2: Under the ‘Candidate Menu’, select ‘Profile and CV’.
Step 3: Click the ‘Update additional CVs’ tab and upload additional CVs to your profile.

For adding cover letters, follow the below steps:
Please note that you cannot upload more than one Cover Letter. However, you can update the Cover Letter anytime. To update the Cover Letter follow the below steps:
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Under the ‘Candidate Menu’, select ‘Profile & CV’, as shown in the below image:
Step 3: Under the ‘Update your cover letter’ section, click the Choose File tab and upload your Cover Letter.

You can either upload a file from your computer or choose it from the cloud by selecting the cloud icons given under the ‘From Cloud Storage’ section.

12. How many CVs I can save?

We offer you option to save ‘Main CV’ and ‘Additional CVs’ in your profile. You can save only one ‘Main CV’ on the website. However, the maximum limit for additional CVs is seven.

13. Why can I not upload the CV?

There are many several reasons and below are the reasons,
Reason 1: Name of the document:
If the name of your CV has a special character you might face problem-saving it. This special character can be ‘&’ or ‘@’. Please remove these characters from the file name before you upload the CV.

Reason 2: File Size:
The maximum upload limit for a CV is 1MB and if you have a CV exceeding this limit you will face problem in uploading the document.
To check the size of your file, follow these steps:

  1. Open the location of your CV document on your computer
  2. Right-click the CV document.
  3. Click ‘Properties'.
  4. A pop-up window will appear with several tabs including ‘Size’.
  5. Click ‘Size’. If the size reads greater the 1MB, try editing your CV and reduce the size.

Reason 3: Exceeding the limit of additional CVs
If you have added seven additional CVs to your profile (this is the maximum number of additional CVs you can attach to your profile) the website will restrict you from uploading the CV.

Reason 4: One dot in the file name.
Please make sure you have one dot in the file name (including the dot in file extension). Please change the name of your file so only one dot appears (ie johnsmithcv.doc)”.

14. How to save my searches?

As soon as you find a job matching your skills, you can save it by clicking on the ‘basket’ icon on the upper right corner.

15. How to retrieve my previous searches?

Saved job searches can be accessed through the Dashboard. If you wish to retrieve your previous searches, kindly follow the below steps,
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Under the ‘Candidate Menu’, select ‘Dashboard’.
Step 3: You can retrieve all your previous searches by clicking the ‘View All’ tab on the bottom of the Dashboard.

16. How to retrieve my applications?

You can find all your previously applied applications on your Dashboard. This helps out in tracking the application status. To retrieve your applications, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Under the ‘Candidate Menu’, select ‘Application History’.

17. How to optimise my searches?

Search optimisation helps you in finding the most relevant jobs. To optimise your searches, ensure that you fill all the desired fields in the search form. You can also sort the search results by relevance, most recent or alphabetically.

For example, if you are looking for a job at a particular location, you can use the Location filter to optimize your search. Similarly, you can make use of the Skills filter to optimise the search matching your skills. Likewise, we have provided you many options to optimise your searches. Plus, we have added a search option that works like Google search in our databases to help you find the jobs as per the set criteria.  

The process for running a search includes following steps,
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Select the ‘Search Jobs’ tab.
Step 3: You can filter your searches by choosing the right details under the required category, by selecting the ‘Browse’ tab.

Select the ‘Search’ tab to run a customised search.

According to the selected tab, specify the search filters like Keywords, Job Type, Skills, Contact value, etc. and then click the ‘Search’ button. You will see a list of the job related to the specified filters.

18. How to stop job alerts?

Our enhanced Job Alerts service can be set up for various parameters including keywords, Sector, Rate, Location, Role, Skill and many more,

19. How do I apply for contract jobs?

At Pro Contract Jobs, we list thousands of Contract Jobs in the UK and around the world. Our rich list of advertisers posts daily based on their requirements and you will find fresh contract jobs opportunities on Pro Contract Jobs every day. To apply for these jobs, you need to make an account with Pro Contract Jobs. To register your account, you can visit https://procontractjobs.com/register.

If you are already a member of Pro Contract Jobs portal, please follow the below steps to apply for a Contract Job:
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Select the ‘Search Jobs’ tab.
Step 3: You can now use the ‘Browse’ or ‘Search’ tabs to find a job you want to apply for.
Or
Select the ‘Search’ tab to run a customized search.
Step 4: Based on the filters you have selected, you will see a list of jobs.
Step 5: Click the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom of the job.
Step 6: Upon clicking the ‘Apply’ button, you may be then directed to the third-party site where you may proceed as per the instructions.

20. How to track the progress of my applications?

Upon applying for a job, you will receive a confirmatory e-mail from Pro Contract Jobs intimating you the successful application. This email is proof as well as the confirmation that your application has been sent to the recruiter.

However, if you do not get a confirmation email or you have any doubt about the status of your application, you may contact the recruiter directly or reapply for the job if necessary. You can also contact us by visiting our contact us page.

21. How to validate that recruiters have received my application?

When you apply for a job, you will receive a confirmation email of your application sent by Pro Contract Jobs, until and unless you unsubscribe the services. At the same time, an email will be sent to the recruiter with your application and other details.

All successful applications are featured on the ‘Application History’ page under ‘My Account’ menu.
If you are worried about any missed or bounced back application emails, we assure you that with we closely monitor our systems and track applications 24/7.

22. Recruiters rejected my application, what’s next?

If you receive an occasional email stating that your application was not accepted at the moment and you may try later, you can contact the recruiter seeking for clarification. Most of the times, recruiters provide their contact information for any queries.

Please note that the recruiters do not share the reasons for rejecting an application with Pro Contract Jobs.

23. Recruiters are not responding?

If your profile matches the job requirements, the recruiter will contact you over the phone or send you with an email informing the process ahead.

However, if the recruiter is not responding, you can contact them directly.

24. Does Pro Contract Jobs support Mobile/ Tablet platforms?

Yes, Pro Contract Jobs supports all platforms including Mobiles, Tablets and PCs.

25. How to upload and save my CV?

While registering on the website, you will be asked to upload your CV as well as additional CVs as the second step of the registration. There are two options for you to upload your CV on the website:
Step 1: Choose a file from your computer
Or
Step 2: Use the cloud service to find your CV

26. What is the Candidate Dashboard and how does it work?

Candidate Dashboard is a control panel under your profile and offers you quick access to many features of your profile. You can ‘Edit your profile settings’, ‘View the ‘recommended Jobs’ and ‘View or add new job searches’. To access your dashboard, you need to follow the below steps:
Step 1: Log in to your account using your registered email and password.
Step 2: Under the ‘Candidate Menu’, select ‘Dashboard’.

You will see your Dashboard having several options for your usage. You can select any option to perform the desired action.

27. How to make most out of Candidate Dashboard?

Your candidate dashboard offers you access to a variety of Pro Contract Jobs platforms.

You can use it for editing your ‘Profile’, or viewing the entire ‘Recommended Jobs’. The dashboard also offers you access to view your previous searches and add new searches in the portal. It is recommended to utilize the dashboard to the fullest to ensure a smooth on-site experience. This way you can save your time as well as efforts and have quick job hunt.

28. How to reset the username/ email address?

You cannot reset your username as it is an identification code approved by the platform for your unique identity. In case, changing the User Name is a must, please contact us and we will look at the options available for you.
