Location: Islington, East London

Our client, a reputable school nestled in the vibrant community of Islington, East London, is seeking a dedicated SEN TA with expertise in managing challenging behaviours to join their dynamic team.
Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN TA specializing in challenging behaviours, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include:
• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies designed to meet the specific needs of students with challenging behaviours.
• Supporting classroom teachers in delivering differentiated instruction and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, promoting their academic and social development.
• Collaborating with the SENCO and other professionals to assess student progress and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.
• Utilizing de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
• Establishing positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to facilitate a supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
• Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Resilience, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term Time)
Pay: SEN TA: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
