About the Role:
We are presently in search of an outstanding and committed Geography Teacher to join our client school in Reading. With an "Excellent" rating from OFSTED, this school provides an ideal setting for individuals seeking a supportive and encouraging work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exemplary lessons that ignite students' interest and involvement in Geography
Champion academic achievement while fostering students' holistic development
Develop and execute impactful lesson plans and instructional materials
Assess student advancement and delegate suitable assignments
Ensure classroom orderliness and liaise with parents and guardians regarding student progress
Attend meetings and fulfill administrative obligations dutifully
Requirements:
Certification in Secondary Geography, such as QTS obtained via a B.Ed. with QTS or equivalent, and a PGCE
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Geography
Thorough understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Readiness to undergo child-only enhanced DBS check through GSL Education or registration on the Update Service
