Job Title: Electrical / HVAC Fitter
Location: Crewe, Cheshire
Pay Rate: 18.82 per hour PAYE / 24.40 per hour Umbrella
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday finish at 12:15pm (37 hours per week) - flexibility required to work shifts
Duration: Ongoing
Start Date: ASAP

We are recruiting for Electrical / HVAC Fitters to join a leading Rolling Stock company based at their depot in Crewe. This is an ongoing contract opportunity working on the electrical overhaul of rail HVAC units.

Duties will include:

HVAC overhaul, repair and fault finding

Reading schematics and technical drawings

Electrical builds and wiring

Crimping and soldering

Pipe bending

Brazing (desirable)

Re-engineering and production of spare parts

General electrical and mechanical repair and replacement work on rolling stock

The role involves ensuring trains are safe, reliable and defect-free through high-quality overhaul and maintenance work.

Backgrounds considered:
Rolling Stock, Automotive, Marine, Aviation, Military, HGV, Aerospace, HVAC, Vehicle Technicians, Electricians, Electrical Engineers, Plumbers or similar engineering environments.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline

Ideally time-served / apprentice trained

Strong all-round electrical and mechanical knowledge

Experience working with HVAC systems preferred

Able to read technical drawings and schematics

Able to work on own initiative

Good communication skills

F-Gas certification and brazing experience would be beneficial but are not essential.
