TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with several private day nurseries located in Harrogate, only a 40 minute journey from Leeds City Centre. The nursery cares for children aged between 0 - 5 throughout the day, with the current staff team working hard to ensure the children are in a safe and secure environment and are supported as they settle in to nursery and progress throughout their development. The staff are passionate about ensuring the best possible care and support for all children in attendance at the nurseries, working with the parents to ensure that the interests and wellbeing of the children are kept at the heart of their planning and day-to-day activities.

The nurseries are currently searching for passionate Nursery Assistants to help provide day-to-day cover each week. The successful applicant doesn’t need to hold any existing childcare qualifications, but must be passionate about working with young children and eager to learn and develop their own skill set and undergo training on the EYFS and Safeguarding policies and procedures. The position is flexible, with the successful Nursery Assistants able to pick which days they can cover each week. The successful Nursery Assistant will be hard-working and reliable, as well as able to work well within a team environment. Previous experience working with children under the age of 5 is required, ideally within a professional setting.

The successful Nursery Assistant will:

Be passionate about working with young children and able to create activities which are based on their interests and developmental needs

Be eager to join a friendly and welcoming team

Be willing to undergo training on current Safeguarding policies and procedures.
