Job Description

We’re working with a rapidly scaling tech company that’s looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to come in and make an immediate impact on an initial 3‑month contract, with scope for extension.

This is a fully remote engagement and suits someone who can operate independently from day one.

The Role

You’ll be brought in to optimise an existing Ruby on Rails application, with a strong focus on:

Identifying performance bottlenecks across the application and infrastructure

Improving scalability, reliability, and overall system efficiency

Working with AWS-based systems in a production environment

Making meaningful architectural and performance improvements as the business continues to scale rapidly

This is a hands-on role with real ownership, not just delivery.

What We’re Looking For

Expert-level Ruby on Rails experience

Strong background working with AWS environments

Proven experience scaling applications at significant volume

Track record of performance optimisation and system improvements

A self-starter who can stand alone, take ownership, and deliver quickly
