Are you the type of person who loves finance… but also loves variety in your day, solving problems, organising, supporting people, improving processes and becoming someone who can be relied on?

This is not your typical Accounts Assistant position. Yes, you need a solid understanding on accounting principles. But this role is ideal for someone who is looking for a range of responsibilities, more involvement across a business, and the opportunity to grow into a hugely valued support person, within a brilliant team.

You could be:

Someone with an Accounts Assistant background wanting broader exposure

Someone who has studied AAT and understands the key accounting principles but no longer wants a traditional finance path

Someone who enjoys finance but also loves organisation, operations and problem solving

Someone looking for a role where no two days look the same

The Role

This is a highly varied position supporting the Finance & Operations Director across a wide range of responsibilities.

You'll be involved in:

Supporting with invoicing and billing processes

Assisting with payment checks and finance administration

Helping investigate and resolve difficult billing queries

Supporting the Credit Control team

Payroll and pension administration support

Reviewing internal processes and identifying improvements

Supporting with reporting and documentation

Assisting with operational and administrative tasks across the business

Supporting with employee administration and HR-related processes

General business support and coordination

This would really suit someone who enjoys being relied upon and becoming a key person within a business.

What They're Looking For

Previous finance/accounts experience is essential (Ideally AAT or above)

Someone highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

Comfortable handling numbers, checks and financial processes

Confident dealing with complex queries and problem-solving

A proactive and adaptable mindset

Someone trustworthy, professional and discreet

Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Someone who enjoys variety and getting involved beyond just finance
