SEN Teaching Assistant | Waltham Forest | £82.14 - £100 per day | Term Time | Immediate Start Available

Reeson Education is recruiting a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children with additional needs succeed in the classroom.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will join a dedicated team focused on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Role Overview - SEN Teaching Assistant

The SEN Teaching Assistant will provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO. The SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring children feel confident, supported and engaged in their learning.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant

Providing 1:1 support for pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs

Delivering small group interventions to support learning and development

Assisting pupils with behaviour management and emotional regulation

Supporting pupils in accessing classroom activities and lessons

Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to track pupil progress

Creating a positive and supportive learning environmentRequirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant

Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEN

Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication needs

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Patient, proactive and supportive approach to working with pupils
