Freelance Site Manager – TWC & 278 Works

£350 per day

Based in St Annes 

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee Temporary Works Coordination (TWC) and Section 278 highway works on a busy construction project in St Annes.

Role Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations safely and efficiently

Coordinate and supervise all Temporary Works activities in line with regulations

Oversee Section 278 works, including highways and infrastructure interfaces

Ensure works are delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards

Liaise with subcontractors, local authorities, engineers, and project stakeholders

Maintain site health & safety compliance and documentation

Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress reporting Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge of TWC procedures and Section 278 works

Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification

Temporary Works Coordinator qualification preferred

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to start immediately preferred
