Project Manager / Senior Construction Manager

Fit Out / Refurbishment Contractor

Freelance: £350 - £450/day (negotiable DOE)

The Role

A highly regarded main contractor with a strong and growing pipeline of secured work is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Construction Manager to join its expanding division. Projects typically range from £10m-£50m and include complex refurbishment, CAT A, and CAT B fit-out schemes across London.

The current scheme is a landmark £14m refurbishment project in the heart of London, involving complex structural alterations and high-specification finishes.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager / Senior Construction Manager to take ownership of major projects, work alongside an experienced leadership team, and join a business with strong financial backing, clear growth plans, and genuine long-term progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the successful delivery of complex refurbishment, CAT A, and CAT B projects from inception through to completion

- Manage project teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, reporting, and programme performance

- Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company and client expectations

- Collaborate with senior leadership teams to support tender opportunities and continued business growth

- Manage and maintain structured ASTA programmes, including short-term look-ahead schedules, droplines, and progress percentage tracking

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering high-value refurbishment, CAT A, or CAT B projects

- Strong leadership, communication, and commercial management skills

- Experience successfully managing teams on projects valued between £10m-£50m

- A proactive and driven individual looking to progress within a fast-growing and reputable main contractor
