Foreman Fitter/Fabricator - Sutton Coldfield - £27.82 per hour PAYE

VGC Group are looking for experienced Foreman Fitters/Fabricators to start on a project in Sutton Coldfield. This contract is available to start ASAP and we can offer 3 years worth of work.

Role: Foreman Fitter/Fabricator
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Salary: £27.82 per hour PAYE
Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 17:30
Contract: Full time
Experience: 2 years +

Qualifications: Gold CSCS / NVQ Lvl 3 (Fabrication/Welding or Mechanical), SSSTS, Full UK driving licence, HGV licence (desirable)

Foreman Fitter/Fabricator Experience
Your role as a Foreman Fitter/Fabricator will be based in Sutton Coldfield and will consist of:

Lead and supervise a team of fitters, fabricators, and welders on site
Carry out and oversee fabrication, installation, and fitting of structural and mechanical components
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
Ensure all fabrication and installation work is carried out to required quality standards
Plan, coordinate, and allocate daily tasks to the team
Conduct regular toolbox talks and site briefings
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including safe systems of work
Inspect work to ensure accuracy, alignment, and correct installation
Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment requirements
Maintain accurate records of work completed and resources used
Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently
Liaise with site management, engineers, and other trades
Ensure all documentation (permits, inspections, timesheets) is completed correctly
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
Report any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns

Based in Sutton Coldfield, remuneration for this role is Rate £27.82 per hour PAYE. You will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
