TeacherActive is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in schools across Colchester starting in September 2026.

We are looking for caring, patient, and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people in their education. This role is ideal for candidates who have experience working with children in schools, care settings, youth work, or similar environments.

The successful candidate will:
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Help students with additional learning needs to achieve their full potential
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:
• Experience working with children or young people
• A positive and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
