Project Manager – Groundworks

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a large commercial groundwork package based in Yorkshire.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity with a well-established groundwork and civil engineering contractor, offering consistent work on a major commercial development.

Responsibilities:

Managing day-to-day operations on a large commercial groundwork project

*

Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials

*

Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and within budget

*

Leading site meetings and liaising with clients and senior management

*

Managing health & safety and site compliance

*

Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance

Requirements:

*

Proven background in commercial groundworks and civils

*

Previous experience managing large groundwork packages

*

Strong leadership and organisational skills

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid preferred

*

Ability to drive programme and maintain high standards on site
