School Premises Assistant - Bexleyheath

Location: Bexleyheath

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time

Pay: £15+ per hour

Academics are currently recruiting for a School Premises Assistant to support a busy and friendly school in Bexleyheath. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous caretaking, maintenance, or facilities experience looking for a long-term role within a school setting.

Main Duties:

Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school site

Carrying out general maintenance and minor repair work

Assisting with site security, including opening and locking the premises

Completing routine health & safety and premises checks

Setting up classrooms and halls for events and activities

Ensuring the school grounds remain clean, safe, and presentable

Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues when required

The Ideal Candidate:

Has previous experience within caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site support

Is reliable, practical, and proactive

Has a good understanding of health & safety procedures

Can work independently and manage workload effectively

Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain oneThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment with consistent full-time hours
