SEN Teaching Assistant

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well established School based within a commutable distance of Epping. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that SEN Students are receiving the appropriate quality education that they need. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored learning plans for students with special educational needs (SEN).
• Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students with SEN.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor and assess student progress.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student development and achievements.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
• Proven experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
• Relevant qualification around education or SEN is desirable.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Day-to-day:

• Working closely with students, teachers, and parents to ensure individual learning needs are met.
• Adapting teaching materials and methods to suit the individual needs of students with SEN.
• Providing regular progress reports and feedback to relevant stakeholders.
• Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance SEN knowledge and skills.
