We have a number of prestigious clients who are currently looking to hire several Test Managers across multiple domains.

Location and working model
• UK based roles, often London or regional hubs
• Hybrid working is common, with some programmes requiring higher onsite attendance during key phases

Role overview
• Own the end to end test approach for a major programme or platform
• Set quality standards and ensure delivery is measurable, traceable, and audit ready
• Lead cross functional teams and coordinate stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery leadership
• Drive testing across functional and non functional areas to support safe release and smooth handover

Key responsibilities
• Define and deliver a risk based test strategy covering system, integration, regression, UAT, and operational readiness testing
• Build and maintain test plans, schedules, resourcing, environments approach, and entry exit criteria
• Lead test execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring milestones and quality gates are met
• Own defect management end to end including triage, prioritisation, fixing cadence, and release readiness
• Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases to evidence and outcomes
• Establish governance and reporting including quality dashboards, RAID items, and decision tracking
• Manage dependencies and blockers, escalating early and coordinating resolutions
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, lessons learned, and process optimisation
• Support automation where it adds value, improving efficiency and strengthening regression coverage
• Validate non functional requirements where applicable including security, performance, usability, and accessibility
• Support go live readiness including cutover test support, hypercare validation, and BAU handover packs

Tools and ways of working
• Test management and tracking tools such as Jira and common test management platforms
• Strong documentation discipline with evidence capture and version control
• Comfortable working across Agile and Waterfall delivery models
• Experience coordinating distributed teams and third party suppliers

Skills and experience
• Proven experience leading testing on complex technology programmes or platform deliveries
• Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to quickly identify risk, gaps, and bottlenecks
• Confident communicator able to report to senior stakeholders and explain quality clearly
• Experience working in governance heavy or regulated environments is beneficial
