Business Change Manager
PCD270044
Hybrid working, £400 per day, IR35: Inside (Umbrella).
Role Purpose
This role delivers non-IT change across operations, ensuring new processes, controls, and ways of working are embedded and adopted sustainably. You will provide structure and pace to change delivery, running change governance, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring readiness across training, communications, and operational ownership. The focus is on operational adoption, risk reduction, and measurable improvements that stick after go-live, particularly in governance-led or regulated environments.
Responsibilities
You will define and manage change impacts across people, process, controls, and customer outcomes, ensuring the operational implications are understood and owned. You will map current and future-state processes, identify gaps, and support the design of practical, workable operating model changes that can be implemented at pace. You will build and coordinate adoption plans, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and readiness activities, ensuring the business is prepared and confident ahead of go-live.
You will lead stakeholder engagement across operational teams, risk and compliance functions, and senior leadership, ensuring consistent messaging, clear decisions, and timely escalation of issues that threaten adoption. You will develop communications approaches that explain what is changing, why it matters, what teams need to do differently, and when changes take effect. You will coordinate training needs and delivery, ensuring materials are fit for purpose and completion is tracked, with feedback loops to address gaps quickly.
You will maintain strong delivery control through RAID and dependency management, providing clear reporting on progress, readiness status, risks, and required decisions. You will resolve blockers proactively by driving actions across teams and ensuring accountabilities are clear. You will support go-live readiness by defining entry and exit criteria, coordinating operational sign-off, and ensuring the right support model is in place. You will ensure a stable handover into BAU, with clear ownership, updated documentation, and embedded controls to sustain improvements.
Requirements
You will have strong business or operations change delivery experience, with excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence across multiple teams. You will bring a strong process and controls mindset, with confidence operating in regulated or governance-led environments. You will be structured, delivery-focused, and comfortable driving adoption and operational readiness at pace, balancing pragmatism with control.
Success Looks Like
Success is measured by adoption being achieved across operational teams, controls being embedded and evidenced, clear BAU ownership in place, and measurable improvements sustained after go-live. The change lands cleanly, with minimal disruption, clear accountability, and a stable transition into steady-state operations.
