Role purpose
You will own the end-to-end testing strategy and delivery for a major programme or complex platform landscape. You will set standards, drive governance, and ensure quality is measurable, transparent, and audit-ready. You will lead cross-functional test teams and align internal SMEs, vendors, and delivery leadership to deliver risk-based testing across integration, system, regression, UAT, and operational readiness phases.

Key responsibilities
• Define and implement a risk-based test strategy across SIT, E2E, regression, UAT, and OAT.
• Build and maintain test plans, schedules, environment approach, entry and exit criteria, and quality gates.
• Lead test execution across multiple workstreams and suppliers, ensuring alignment to programme milestones and release plans.
• Own the defect lifecycle, including triage, severity, prioritisation, root cause coordination, and fix cadence with engineering and vendors.
• Ensure full traceability across requirements, test cases, evidence, and outcomes, meeting audit and compliance needs.
• Establish testing governance including reporting cadence, quality dashboards, RAID management, and decision logs.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, process optimisation, and tooling uplift.
• Support test automation initiatives where suitable to accelerate regression and reduce manual effort.
• Validate non-functional requirements where required, including security, performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Coordinate go-live readiness including cutover support, hypercare testing, and operational handover packs.

    • Lloyd’s and syndicate processes, bureau applications, Blueprint-aligned change
    • Strong QE frameworks, guardrails, and alignment to enterprise testing strategy
Tools and delivery methods
    • Test management and ALM tools such as cALM and Jira (and similar)
    • Automation tooling such as Tricentis Tosca where applicable
    • Comfortable operating across Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall delivery models
    • Strong reporting discipline and confident senior stakeholder communication
Skills and experience
    • Proven experience leading testing on complex, large-scale programmes with multiple workstreams and dependencies
    • Strong leadership and the ability to coordinate onshore, offshore, and vendor delivery models
    • Excellent stakeholder management, able to influence senior leaders and remove blockers quickly
    • Strong problem solving with a practical technical understanding of platform landscapes and integration points
    • Experience in regulated environments, delivering audit-ready evidence and measurable quality outcomes
