Location: Lambeth (near Brixton / Loughborough Junction)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time Long-term / Permanent Potential
Pay: 115- 140 per day
Setting: Specialist SEN Unit within Mainstream Primary School

A well-established and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking an experienced HLTA to join their specialist SEN provision from September 2026.

This HLTA role will be based within the school's dedicated SEN unit, which supports pupils with autism, communication needs and moderate to complex learning difficulties. The provision offers small class sizes, high staffing ratios and a highly structured environment designed to support pupils both academically and socially.

The successful HLTA will work closely with the SEN Teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions, lead small group learning and support the day-to-day running of the provision. There will also be opportunities to cover lessons within the unit and support staff development across the team.

The school is known locally for its strong inclusive ethos, nurturing environment and investment in SEN support. Staff within the provision benefit from collaborative working, regular training and clear leadership support.

Key responsibilities for the HLTA include:

• Leading intervention groups across literacy, numeracy and communication
• Supporting pupils with autism and additional learning needs
• Covering lessons within the SEN provision when required
• Assisting with behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff

The ideal HLTA will:

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience
• Have strong SEN experience within a primary or specialist setting
• Be confident leading small group and whole-class learning
• Demonstrate calm and consistent behaviour management
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Experience within ARBs, SEN units or specialist provisions would be highly beneficial for this HLTA opportunity.
