Bakery Operator - Bolton Full-time Temp to Perm Shift-based

Gi Group is currently recruiting Bakery Mixer Operators for a well-established and fast-growing cake manufacturer in Bolton, supplying major UK supermarket chains. This is an excellent temp to perm opportunity for reliable and motivated candidates looking to secure long-term employment within a modern food production environment.

As a Bakery Mixer Operator in Bolton, you will initially work through the agency with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract based on performance, attendance, and business requirements.

This Bakery Mixer Operator role is ideal for candidates with previous bakery, food production, manufacturing, or mixing experience who are comfortable working within a fast-paced production environment.

Shifts Available

AM 6:00-14:00 PM 14:00-22:00 Nights 22:00-06:00

Pay Rate

13.24- 14.56 per hour (shift dependent)

Overtime

16.55 per hour

The Role

As a Bakery Mixer Operator, you will accurately prepare and mix ingredients to specification, ensuring consistent product quality, food safety compliance, and production efficiency within a busy cake production facility in Bolton.

The successful Bakery Mixer Operator will be responsible for operating mixing equipment, following production recipes, monitoring ingredient quantities, and maintaining high hygiene standards throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bakery production equipment safely and efficiently
• Prepare ingredients and support the baking production process
• Carry out quality checks on products throughout production
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
• Complete production records and basic machine checks accurately
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and production teams
• Follow all health and safety procedures within the bakery environment
• Assist with packing, labelling, and product handling where required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bakery Operator, Production Operative, or within food manufacturing preferred
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bakery environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible approach to shifts and overtime when required
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
