Learning Support Assistant - Peterborough

£95-£110 per day | Weekly Pay | Term Time Only | Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Peterborough that is looking to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible.

As a Learning Support Assistant in Peterborough, you will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, working both within the classroom and on a 1:1 or small-group basis to help children achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role - Learning Support Assistant

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions

Assisting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom

Adapting learning activities to meet individual pupil needs

Supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour

Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCo

Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeingThe Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant within KS1 and KS2

Have experience supporting children with SEND and additional needs

Be confident working on a 1:1 basis and with small intervention groups

Be passionate about education and supporting children's development

Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
