PRIMARY YEAR 4 TEACHER

Location: Aylesbury

Start: September 2026

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £29,344–£44,919

This is the point where pupils start taking ownership of their learning.

They understand more — now they need to apply it consistently.

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will build independence, confidence, and consistency across all areas of the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

Teach the Year 4 curriculum across all subjects

Plan structured and engaging lessons

Support a range of learning abilities

Develop independent learning habits

Monitor and track pupil progress

Maintain consistent classroom routines

Work closely with parents and staff

The classroom environment

Lessons are structured and clear

Pupils are engaged and focused

Behaviour is consistent and calm

Learning builds over time

Skills and experience

Experience teaching KS2 preferred

Strong classroom management

Organisation and planning

Ability to support mixed abilities

What success looks like

Pupils become more independent

Confidence increases

Work improves in detail and accuracy

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with KS2 experience
