A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich is seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, making a real impact on pupil progress and classroom outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, confident leading groups and whole-class sessions, and committed to supporting children of all abilities to achieve their best.

The Role:

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2 as required
• Lead small group interventions to support pupils in closing learning gaps
• Work with class teachers to plan and adapt resources to meet pupils' needs
• Support behaviour management and promote positive learning environments
• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, including SEND
• Monitor, assess, and feedback on pupil progress where appropriate
• Contribute to the wider school community and support day-to-day classroom organisation

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience working at HLTA level
• Experience working in a primary school setting across different key stages
• Confident leading whole-class sessions and small group interventions
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Calm, proactive, and adaptable approach to classroom support
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
