HYDROTESTER – NIGHT SHIFT

Location: Redditch

Shift: Nights

Pay: £18.01 per hour (£12.98 + 40% shift allowance)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

We are working with a well-established global manufacturing company based in Redditch to recruit a Hydrotester for a full-time, permanent position. This role is suited to candidates with experience in mechanical testing, hydraulics, or manufacturing environments. Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out hydrostatic testing on components and equipment

* Operate and monitor testing equipment safely and accurately

* Ensure all products meet required quality and pressure standards

* Interpret technical drawings and test specifications

* Record and report test results accurately

* Maintain strict quality control throughout all processes

* Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Additional Duties

* Supporting general workshop and production activities

* Handling, loading, and moving materials safely

* Preparing equipment for testing

* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

* Using an overhead crane (experience ideal, not essential – full training provided)

Person Specification

* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking

* Comfortable working in a hands-on engineering environment

* Willing to work in all workshop conditions

* Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

* Mechanical or testing experience beneficial but not essential

* Experience using an overhead crane is ideal but not essential

* Team player with a positive attitude

* Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
