Plumber
Job Specification - Plumber
Location: Tyne and Wear
Type: Temporary (1 position)
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Fri, 07:00-16:00)
Duration: 18 May 2026 - 28 August 2026
Pay: £14.60 per hour
Purpose
To carry out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations across council buildings.
Key Duties
Repair and maintain plumbing systems (water, drainage, sanitary fittings)
Respond to reactive and planned maintenance jobs
Diagnose and fix faults efficiently
Ensure all work meets health & safety standards
Keep accurate job records and reports Requirements
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent
Experience in commercial or industrial plumbing
Good knowledge of health & safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reporting To
Maintenance Supervisor / Facilities Team Leader
