Software Engineer - Generative AI Hub

A large UK organisation is building out its Generative AI Innovation Hub, a fast-paced, cross-functional team delivering short GenAI proof-of-concept projects that turn creative ideas into working prototypes.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who can work across the full stack and bring ideas to life alongside Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Scientists. You will be part of a small, agile team delivering 4-6 week AI projects that explore the next generation of intelligent applications.

What you’ll be doing

Build and deploy custom GenAI applications using modern cloud technologies, including AWS, Python, and CI/CD.

Own API development, database design, and infrastructure deployment via Terraform or CloudFormation.

Collaborate with data science teams to integrate AI models and APIs, including AWS Bedrock, LangGraph, Azure GPT, and similar tools.

Occasionally support lightweight front-end work using React or Python.

Work in agile sprints, joining daily stand-ups and planning sessions.

What we’re looking for

Git

AWS services, including Terraform or CloudFormation

CI/CD pipelines

API development in Python

SQL and NoSQL databases

Docker containers

Some familiarity with Generative AI tools, such as AWS Bedrock, Strands, LangGraph, or Azure GPT
