Job Title: Contract Material Controller

Material Controller / Inventory controller / Production Controller

This market leading design, development and manufacturing organization in an expanding market place are looking for a talented Material Controller / Inventory Controller to undertake a varied contract role.

This contract Material Controller / Production Control role is critical to ensuring that material is efficiently scheduled for release to production to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.

Key accountabilities as Material Controller / Production controller / Inventory controller will include:

Ensure appropriate materials and consumables are available to complete the tasks ahead and ensure that stock levels and movements are accurately recorded.
Utilising both the MRP system alongside MS Excel to ensure correct inventory level for production
Monitor material availability and advise impact on delivery

Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system

Supporting inventory management of any new products into production, ensuring material availability
Expediting any late orders
Organising kitting for shop built assemblies ensuring kits are in a suitable state for manufacture

The ideal candidate will have:

Prior material control / production control / inventory control experience gained within a manufacturing / production environment.

Good level of PC literacy, including MRP/ERP or SAP experience.

BOM (Bill of Material) management understanding

Prior experience of MS Excel a must.
