NOW Education is recruiting a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within a supportive and welcoming SEND school based in Widnes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed HLTA who is looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs while also securing a long-term or permanent position within a specialist setting.

The role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting pupils with:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• SEMH needs
• Moderate learning difficulties
• Communication and interaction needs

The Role

As a HLTA within this SEND school, you will:

• Support pupils with a range of additional needs
• Deliver small group interventions and targeted support
• Provide classroom cover where required
• Work closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals
• Help create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils to support emotional wellbeing and progress

Requirements

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience within a SEND or specialist setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs
