Primary Teacher

Location: Lewisham

We are seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEN school. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Primary Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and delivering high-quality learning experiences.

Working Pattern: 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday)

As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will provide PPA cover across the school, including two days each week within the EYFS provision. The school is based in Lewisham and supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across primary age groups.

Undertake all planning, preparation and assessment responsibilities.

Provide high-quality PPA cover within the SEN school.

Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Work closely with colleagues, therapists and support staff.

Contribute positively to the school's education and training environment.

Promote excellent outcomes through effective education and training practices.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Proven experience teaching in UK primary schools.

SEN experience or a strong interest in SEN.

EYFS and/or KS1 experience is highly desirable.

Excellent spoken and written English.

Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Not suitable for ECTs.This Primary Teacher role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive SEN setting in Lewisham, making a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs. The successful Primary Teacher will not have form tutor responsibilities and will be expected to manage their own planning.
