Mechanical Fitter

Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with HV Fitting & Earthing experience to join a major energy infrastructure project. This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working on BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) sites or similar high-voltage environments.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical fitting and HV earthing installation works

Install and assemble mechanical components and support systems

Read and interpret technical drawings and site documentation

Support HV installation and commissioning activities

Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures

Maintain high standards of workmanship and health & safety compliance

Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades

Essential Requirements

Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualifications

Valid and appropriate CSCS Card

Proven experience in mechanical fitting within industrial or energy environments

Strong understanding of health & safety procedures on construction sites

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

Previous experience working on BESS sites or similar HV infrastructure projects

Experience with HV fitting and earthing systems

Knowledge of renewable energy or substation environments

Working Hours & Rates

45 hours per week

£350 per day (paid to the candidate)
