Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Lewisham - 3 Days Per Week - HLTA Qualification Required

We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school based in Lewisham on a 3-day-per-week basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA who is ready to take on additional classroom responsibility, lead interventions, and support pupils across the school. The school is specifically looking for someone who holds a recognised HLTA qualification, as this role will involve covering lessons and leading learning activities when required.

The Role:

• Working 3 days per week
• Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Leading small group interventions and booster sessions
• Supporting pupils across a range of abilities and learning needs
• Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom resources, and learning activities
• Supporting pupils with SEN where required
• Helping manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification
• Have previous HLTA or strong Teaching Assistant experience
• Be confident covering lessons and leading groups
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be organised, proactive, and reliable
• Be confident working across different year groups
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
