£110 per day

Hours: 08:30am - 16:30pm

Contract: Temp-to-perm

Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist college in Coventry, supporting learners aged 16-25 with a range of complex disabilities and additional learning needs. This is a rewarding temp-to-perm opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young adults in a nurturing and structured environment.

This role offers variety, where you will support learners across different settings, helping them to build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

About the Role

Working alongside tutors, support staff, and other professionals, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

* Supporting learners aged 16-25 with a range of learning disabilities and complex needs

* Providing support on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within the main classroom

* Assisting with both academic learning and life skills development

* Supporting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner

* Managing and responding to challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies

* Encouraging independence, communication, and social interaction

* Supporting learners with emotional regulation and engagement in activities

* Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Experience working with learners with additional needs and/or learning disabilities

* Comfortable supporting personal care needs

* Resilient and confident in managing behaviours that may challenge

* Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting young people

* Able to build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries

* Reliable and committed to a long-term, temp-to-perm role

* Flexible, proactive, and a strong team player
