Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time)

Immediate / September Start Long-Term Role

Supply Desk is partnering with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Stoke Poges to recruit a committed and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA). In this role, you will work alongside classroom teachers to provide tailored support to pupils, helping them engage with learning and build confidence. You ll contribute to maintaining a calm, structured, and encouraging classroom environment.

• Deliver classroom support on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Provide focused support for children with additional learning needs (SEN)
• Promote positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
• Support pupils emotional wellbeing and social development
• Help ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Observe pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Work collaboratively with school staff and external support services where required

• Experience working with children (in schools or similar settings preferred)
• A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
• Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children s learning and development
• Available to work full-time in Stoke Poges

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant training)
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
