Hybrid Working- 2-3 days on site/office based in Newham

Description

Role Purpose:

The Estate Surveyor is part of a team managing over 600 Council owned commercial properties, the majority of which are retail, but also includes industrial, offices and land . The successful candidate must be a Member or Fellow of the royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or actively working towards gaining chartership.

Duties to be involved in:
Commercial portfolio management
Landlord and tenant matters
Rent reviews and lease renewals
Lettings and lease negotiations
Service charge management and recovery
Assignments, sublettings, licences and wayleaves
Arrears management and tenant engagement
Property inspections and general estate management
Income generation and asset management initiatives
MRICS qualification and previous local authority experience would be highly desirable.
