Skilled Operative x6 - BESS Projects
Location: Monk Fryston, North Yorkshire
Project: SSER BESS Site, Rawfield Lane
Start Date: 15th June 2026
Duration: Until 28th August 2026
Positions Available: 6
Hours: 45 Hours Per Week
Working Hours: 07:00 - 17:00
Rate: 28.50 per hour
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Payment: CIS

We are currently recruiting for 6 Skilled Operatives to support the delivery of a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Monk Fryston.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading energy infrastructure contractor working on a high-profile renewable energy development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Civil works associated with BESS and electrical infrastructure construction
• Installation of ducts and cable routes
• Cable pulling and cable management activities
• Assisting with trenching, reinstatement and general groundwork duties
• Supporting site teams with construction and installation activities
• General site duties as required by the project team
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance

Essential Requirements:

• Valid CSCS or CPCS Card
• Previous experience working within BESS, substation, electrical infrastructure or major civil engineering projects
• Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a construction team environment

Desirable Qualifications:

• SHEA Power
• First Aid at Work
• SSSTS
• National Grid Person
• Previous utility, substation or energy sector experience
