Job Title: Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant

Location: Cardiff

Start Date: September

Salary: £14.25 per hour

Can you provide engaging support during guided reading sessions and across the wider curriculum?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Welsh-medium primary school in the Cardiff area. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally through the Welsh language.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant will support pupils across the classroom, deliver guided reading activities, lead small group intervention sessions, and work closely with teaching staff to promote positive learning outcomes for all children.

The successful Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Fluency in Welsh and English

• Experience working with children within a primary school setting

• Experience supporting guided reading and literacy development

• The ability to deliver small group intervention sessions

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
