Job Title: SEND Teacher

Location: Durham

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £130 - £160 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Durham that supports children and young people with a range of additional learning needs. The school promotes an inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and achieve their individual goals.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a flexible day-to-day basis with an ASAP start. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils with additional needs and adapting learning to meet individual requirements. This SEND Teacher role requires excellent classroom management skills and the ability to support students with a range of SEND needs in a positive and structured learning environment.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Strong knowledge of adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs

• A patient, resilient and positive approach

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
