Full Time – 40 hours per week

College attendance: Gloucestershire College (day release from September 2026)

Closing Date: 5 July 2026

Assessment and interviews: Weeks commencing 13 and 20 July 2026

Gloucester City Homes (GCH) is looking for a Property Maintenance Operative Apprentice to join our PropertyCare team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced tradespeople, gain practical experience across multiple trades, and complete a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship.

Whether you've already spent time using tools at school, college or at home, or you're simply looking for a career where you can learn practical skills and see the results of your work every day, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll help maintain and improve customers' homes, learning skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, decorating and general property maintenance. Working in both occupied and empty properties, you'll develop the knowledge, confidence and experience needed to build a successful career in the industry.

What we're looking for

We're not expecting you to be an expert already. We're looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn. You'll be:

* Interested in a career in property maintenance or the trades

* Reliable, hardworking and keen to develop new skills

* Comfortable working as part of a team

* Committed to health and safety

* Able to communicate well with customers and colleagues

* Confident using basic IT, tablets or mobile devices

Essential qualifications

* GCSE’s in English and Maths at Grade 9-3 or A*-D
