EHS Advisor - Offshore (12-Month Contract, Outside IR35)

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to support a major offshore project in the North Sea, operating from a jack-up vessel (JUV). This 12-month outside IR35 contract offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile renewable energy programme, ensuring the highest standards of environmental, health and safety performance. As an EHS Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture and supporting operational excellence in a dynamic offshore environment.

The EHS Advisor will be responsible for delivering EHS guidance across offshore activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and project requirements. You will conduct inspections and audits, support incident investigations, and provide coaching to offshore teams to drive continuous improvement. Working closely with site leadership, you will help embed best practice and ensure safe systems of work are consistently applied in challenging offshore conditions.

This role operates on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation, working 12-hour days as part of an 84-hour week, offering a structured offshore schedule.

We are looking for a proactive professional with proven offshore experience, ideally within wind or marine environments. You will bring strong communication skills, sound technical knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, while gaining valuable experience on a large-scale offshore project.

Essential requirements:

- NEBOSH Level 3 or Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)

- Proven experience in offshore EHS roles (wind, oil & gas, or marine)

- Valid GWO certifications (Working at Height, Sea Survival, First Aid, Fire Awareness)

- Experience working on JUVs or offshore vessels

- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and risk management

Desirable:

- Environmental qualifications or dual HSE capability

- Incident investigation training (e.g. Root Cause Analysis)

- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001)

Rate:

£550.00 per day on a Ltd or Umbrella basis
