HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Crick.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and long-term stability within a supportive environment.

This role will suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday - Start times between 07:00 and 16:00 • Sunday to Thursday - Start times between 21:00 and 01:00 • Ad hoc shifts initially

Rates of Pay:

• Days - £17.92 per hour (Basic) • Days Overtime - £24.55 per hour (After 48 hours) • Nights - £19.95 per hour (Basic) • Nights Overtime - £25.44 per hour (After 48 hours)

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Depot-to-depot trunking • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly • Completing all relevant paperwork and documentation • Adhering to all road transport legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • A minimum of twelve months Category CE driving experience • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • A valid Driver CPC Card • A valid Digital Tachograph Card • A professional and reliable approach to work

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial HGV Class 1 driving experience • Experience completing trunking deliveries

Training Provided:

• Driver assessment prior to commencement • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
