Job title: Plastic / Acrylic Fabricator
Job type: Temporary (possibility of a Permanent contract further down the line, not guaranteed however)
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4.30pm (4pm Friday finish)
Hourly rate: £14.00 per hour

Our rapidly growing client based in Letchworth is currently looking for a Plastic / Acrylic Fabricator to join their team on a Temporary basis, with a possible view of a Permanent contract (not guaranteed). The successful candidate must have a background within Plastics Fabrication/Manufacturing industry, who is willing to get stuck into a fast paced and physically demanding role.

Main duties as a Plastic / Acrylic Fabricator:
- Working with all types of acrylic; checking sheet quality and manually handling with care. Keeping your work area organised and wearing PPE as required
- Heat/line bending, gluing syringes, diamond and flame polishing, UV bonding
- Jig making: using hand and power tools (bandsaws, overhead routers, drills, handheld routers) as well as measuring equipment
- Prototyping: Working with designers/artworkers to ensure cut files are sized precisely, ensuring correct fit when assembled.
- Wrapping and packing finished goods ready for dispatch

Skills & experience required for this role:
- Strong visual skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment; working in a team or with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow technical CAD drawings
- Able to demonstrate a problem solving mentality
- Strong work ethic and willingness to assist other team members when required
