Head Steward - Temporary Summer Contract in Farnborough

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Steward in Farnborough, working within a prestigious hospitality environment. This temporary contract runs from 23rd June through to mid-August, offering up to five days per week, daytime hours, weekly pay, and the potential for live-in accommodation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head Steward looking to work in a professional, high-end setting while enjoying a great work-life balance over the summer period.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head Steward, you will oversee the smooth operation of all stewarding and kitchen support functions, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout.

• Supervise pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen teams
• Coordinate dishwashing, silver cleaning, storage, and distribution of supplies
• Monitor cleanliness and organisation of kitchens, workrooms, storerooms, and equipment
• Manage kitchen supplies, equipment, and stock control
• Assist with banquet and event preparations, including staffing requirements
• Maintain inventory records for china, glassware, silverware, and equipment
• Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Help minimise wastage and maintain security of stock and equipment

What we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced Head Steward who can confidently lead a stewarding team in a busy hospitality environment.

• Previous experience as a Head Kitchen Porter, Head Kitchen Porter, or Chief Steward
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Experience managing kitchen support operations and stock control
• Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment
• Available to work the full temporary contract from June through to August
• A positive and proactive approach to teamwork
