Cover People are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe that is looking to appoint an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a long-term position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant who enjoys taking on additional responsibility and is comfortable leading learning when required.

The Role

Supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range

Delivering interventions and small-group support

Providing classroom support for pupils with a range of learning needs

Covering classes when required, ensuring learning continues in the teacher’s absence

Supporting behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment

Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team

The Ideal Candidate

✔ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)

✔ Previous experience working within a UK primary school

✔ Confident covering whole classes and delivering pre-planned lessons

✔ Strong behaviour management skills

✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

✔ Flexible, reliable and committed to supporting pupils' progress

✔ Able to work effectively across different year groups
