Hourly rate: 12.85

Location: Glinton, Peterborough PE6 7JR

Working hours: 30-37 hours per week, flexible between 6am-4pm

Contract: 3 months

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Peterborough City Council for a Domestic Assistant to ensure that Clare Lodge Secure Home maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for young people, staff, and visitors.

As this is a secure care setting, you will be expected to work professionally, maintain confidentiality, and follow security procedures.

We are seeking candidates that hold an enhanced DBS.

Main responsibilities:

• You will carry out a range of cleaning duties across the Home, making sure high standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• Areas for cleaning will include staff offices, corridors, kitchens, school and secure units.
• To safely operate cleaning equipment (e.g. commercial vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, cleaner's trolley) in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• To ensure all equipment is left clean and is securely stored when not in use.
• To maintain awareness of good practice regarding the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
• Managing cleaning stock and waste
