Science Teacher

• Mixed secondary, 11-16
• Maternity cover, full-time
• Start September
• 165- 250 p/day (PAYE)

Veritas Education are supporting a well-regarded, mixed secondary school in the Billingham area to appoint a Science Teacher from September on a full-time, long-term maternity cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department with strong leadership and a clear focus on delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The school is ideally looking for a confident and experienced practitioner who can hit the ground running, manage behaviour effectively, and inspire students of all abilities.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare and assess in line with curriculum expectations
• Contribute positively to a collaborative department

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Science Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
• Experience teaching KS3 & KS4
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
