Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Pastoral Manager to lead the overview of students' attendance for an identified cohort with a view to continual improvement and the removal of barriers.

Pastoral Manager

• Location - Liverpool, L19
• Type of work - Long term
• Start date - As soon as possible
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Hours - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Work with the AHT (Attendance & Admissions) and other pastoral staff to ensure the implementation of the attendance and punctuality strategy.
• Ensure a smooth day to day operation of attendance and absence monitoring for a specific cohort of students.
• To complete Home Visit welfare checks for students with flagging attendance concerns.
• To undertake regular student voice activities and take necessary action on feedback.
• To ensure all students display positive behaviour and learning behaviours
• To contribute to the effective operational activities, including attendance at meetings, events and activities as required.
• To lead, support and encourage the highest possible standards of behaviour, learning, attainment and achievement.
• Monitor the effectiveness of absence interventions in place to support students across the identified cohort.
• Liaise, as appropriate, with internal / external stakeholders and outside agencies.
• Promote parent / carers engagement with regards to positive attendance amongst the identified cohort of students.

To be eligible:

• Previous experience working with children
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide at least two professional references covering at least 24 months/cover the last 2 years
