About the Role Smile Education is delighted to be recruiting a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hyde. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting ASAP, supporting pupils primarily in Early Years.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality classroom support, helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment and meeting the individual needs of pupils.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and looking to build experience within a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities

Assist pupils with learning tasks and encourage engagement

Prepare classroom resources and learning materials

Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs

Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe learning environment

Monitor and record pupil progress as directed

Support whole-class teaching as well as small group interventionsRequirements

Previous experience working in a school or with children (desirable)

A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic approach

Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are essential.What’s on Offer
