Senior Quality Inspector

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Quality Inspector to join a specialist manufacturing environment producing inflatable rescue and life-saving equipment. This is more than inspection - it's a key role ensuring products meet the highest safety, regulatory, and customer standards.

What you'll be doing

• Leading inspection activities across goods-in, in-process, and final product release
• Carrying out functional and pressure testing on inflatable safety equipment
• Ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, SOPs, and quality standards
• Managing non-conformances, including root cause support and corrective actions
• Raising and closing supplier RMAs and liaising with suppliers on quality issues
• Maintaining accurate inspection records, reports, and traceability documentation

Leadership responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a team of Quality Inspectors
• Allocating workload and setting priorities
• Providing training, coaching, and performance oversight
• Acting as a first point of escalation for quality issues

What we're looking for

• Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Hands-on experience with measurement tools (Verniers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Experience inspecting components against POs and specifications
• Ideally, exposure to pressure or flow testing systems
