Operational Project Manager - Aberdeen

Location: Aberdeen (Altens)

Contract: 6 months initial contract (view to permanent)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Rates: £28.89 PAYE / £39.00 Umbrella

Hours: 37 hours per week (7.4 hour days - 8h Mon-Thurs, 5h Friday)

Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for an Operational Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis, supporting a major energy engineering environment based in Aberdeen.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operational Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects within a fast-paced workshop and engineering setting, with a strong likelihood of the role progressing into a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project delivery, from tender management through to completion

Take ownership of commercial project performance and lifecycle reporting

Manage scope, specification, schedule, cost, and quality across assigned projects

Accurately track and report project progress using internal systems

Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and service providers

Liaise closely with engineering teams to define scopes and technical requirements

Communicate project updates and progress to key stakeholders

Work closely with workshop and planning teams to ensure efficient delivery

Drive a strong "right-first-time" delivery culture

✅ What We're Looking For

Proven experience as an Operational Project Manager within engineering, manufacturing, or energy sectors

Strong background in tender management and commercial project oversight

Experience managing subcontractors and vendor interfaces

Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail

Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and workshop teams

Experience with rotating equipment or similar environments is highly desirable
