Freelance Site Engineer Commercial Construction Projects
South Yorkshire £330 Per Day Freelance Contract Up to 2 Years' Work Available

We Are Footprint are recruiting on behalf of one of our key clients, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial construction projects across South Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer based in or around Sheffield who is looking for long-term freelance work, with the potential for up to two years of continuous work for the right candidate.

The Role

Working as part of a well-established site team, you will be responsible for the engineering and setting out requirements across multiple commercial build projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works on site
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records
• Quality assurance and quality control checks
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams
• Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications
• Supporting the successful delivery of commercial construction projects

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on commercial construction projects
• Strong setting out and surveying experience
• Proficient with relevant surveying equipment and software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• CSCS Card (essential)
• SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
• Full UK driving licence preferred
